It is about a wooden church, bearing the style from Maramures, which brings on the lands of Dobrogea an ancient Romanian tradition, that of the wood. The church was raised on a field given by Mangalia Town Hall. The church place was sanctified on 4th March 2006, the foundation construction started in the next following months, and the church made of wood started to be set on 1st May 2007, and on 1st June 2007 being completely finished. Sunday, 15th July 2007, the consecration service of Saint Mina Church and of Pantelimon and Ermolae Saints has be performed in Mangalia town, within the municipal hospital, officialized by His Excellency Teodosie, Tomis Archbishop.
Some of the expanses foreseen in the general estimated bill have been covered by Mangalia Town Hall. The others by: self financing, donations from the Cultural Ministry, donations and sponsorships from commercial companies, local ones or from the country, from the sacrifice of the beloved Christians.
At the wooden part of the church, a team of nine masters from Maramures worked, team led by Ion Pop, from Baia Mare. The whole church was thought and projected with high precision and craftsmanship by the architect Niels Auner. The works have been done with the care of the following priests Cîrlan Vasile and Cîrlan Sorin, graduates from the Orthodox Theological Faculty from Bucharest, natives from Mangalia town.
